ENTRY FOR THIS EVENT HAS NOW CLOSED
This is a new 5-on-5 Hat tournament, played outdoors on grass but using smaller, BULA-sized pitches (below). The aim of the event is not only to be fun, but to raise money for, and awareness of, the sporting charity Right To Play.
As it is a Hat tournament, entry is for individuals only, and you will be placed into a team based on your gender and experience, in order to create teams as evenly matched as possible.
We have the capacity for around 100 players and accommodation can be provided, either with kind Sheffield disc throwers or at the scout hall previously used at Mix & Mingle.
£2 from every entry fee will be donated to Right To Play.
Each participant will also receive a t-shirt (in your Hat teams' colours) and entry into one of Sheffield's top nightclubs on Saturday night; and there will be a trophy and medals for the winning team.
Within your goodie bag you will find a Right To Play wristband. Not only will this be your ticket around the tournament venue and possibly the party, but it will also help to spread the word about this fantastic charity. Please wear it with pride!
A catchy name I'm sure you will agree!
The welcome party will be a moderately quiet affair taking place in The Red Deer, Pitt Street, from 7.30pm.
We have use of the pubs function room which is located upstairs. Head to the far end of the bar from the pub entrance and turn left. You should see a sign pointing you in the right direction from this point.
You will be required to register on arrival, and in doing so will receive your goodie bag (inc team kit). You will be encouraged to don your team colours and thus make meeting your new teammates a whole lot easier! You will also be encouraged to sample the fine ales and generally have a good time!
There will also be a 3-Pint challenge competition taking place so grab a partner and you could win a prize! NB. you will have to pay for your own pints; but discs, straws and an official timekeeper will be supplied.
Firstly the theme is HATS. Remember to bring yourself something nice to keep your head warm, and please try not to lose it!
The Saturday party will feature three (or four) things which make Sheffield great! And any one who attends is very lucky indeed.
1. We are very lucky to be able to tag along to the leaving do of two of Sheffield's finest, Mr and Mrs Fulford. We will be heading to the RUTLAND ARMS from 8pm for drinks and the legendary...
2. CAR BOMB. That's right, you will have the opportunity to indulge in a fine mix of beverages. Please try to keep it down.
3. If we have time we will venture to the DEVONSHIRE CAT for fine ales and cider before...
4. THE LEADMILL! We'll dance the night away in Sheffield's premier nightspot downing £1 shots along the way.
Make sure you bring your Leadmill ticket and wear your yellow wristband (you'll get both when you register on Friday night).
